Add a new terminal

Setup a new ORDR terminal to your account to take in-person payments

ORDR partners with Stripe and bbpos to provide your restaurant, bar or hotel with a reliable, long battery life and easy-to-use payment terminal.

Setting up the terminal

  1. When you first turn the terminal on, or factory reset it, you will be asked for your language, and your country. Please select the appropriate countries.
  2. You will then be able to connect the terminal to your WiFi network. Select your network name and type in your network password. Once connected, click the blue Continue button.
  3. The device will connect to the network, and then immediately check for updates and install them. Please note, this can take anywhere from 10-30 minutes. You can leave your device plugged in by itself and come back later.
  4. Once the device has started, slide your finger from the left edge of the device, to the right across the scree where a menu appears. Click on Device settings and enter the PIN 07139. Tap on Generate pairing code.
  5. Go to the Finance Section on your ORDR account, https://ordr.menu/staff/finance/, and click on Card Readers. Note, if you have multiple Finance Profiles on your ORDR account, you will need to ensure you are using the appropriate one.
  6. Click on Add card reader and:
  • Give your terminal a name that is helpful to you
  • Select the correct location for the terminal
  • Input the Registration code from the terminal in to the form. The code is three words with a dash, for example meaning-phone-house, pencil-glass-upwards, etc.
  • Click on Create Reader.

After creating the reader

The reader may download some information specific to your business and location(s), but within a minute should be ready to start taking payments!
